updates will depend on which carrier you're with. However, since it's a pretty new phone and based on Motorola's recent track record with fairly quick updates,I would expect that your phone will likely get updated within the next few months.

And unless you root your device, you'll have to wait until the update is pushed to your phone - it's not something you can just download and install.
