Just installed QtADB on my Win7 laptop, and now I can see the file system and the SD card in a split window. This will make life a whole lot easier to move files around!
Thanks Guntherm!
I would assume this *SHOULD* work for the inspire as well since it's an HTC with 2.2 as well and should have the same HTC software in the backend?
Does the current root method require a flashing of the rom or can I keep my current state intact? In other words, do I lose any apps or app data when I root?
Use MyBackup Pro... it will allow you to backup all your settings, apps, data, messages, homescreens, etc.. and does not require root. After you're rooted and have everything back on the phone you can switch to Titanium Backup if you want.. or just keep MyBackup.. I prefer using Titanium.Current method require you to flash a downgrade the flash to the current, so you lose all data. Back up programs can help with this.
After goign through and moving all the "bloatware" Blockbuster is still there in app drawer. Have confirmed it is TB Bloat folder on SD card. Even clicked on it and it still runs. Reboot phone. Still there? Anyone else have this issue?
Does anyone know if VCAST MEDIA is safe to remove and what the file name is? Same with PEEP? Tunewiki?
Also, why does the Kindle App still show up in my app drawr once I moved it to my sdcard? Same with Blockbuster.
EDIT: Reboot removed the Kindle App. Blockbuster is still there tho. This Blockbuster app is like a bad dream...
If it isn't in this post, then do not remove it. vCast is okay to move.
I'll answer your Kindle question in a bit. I know where it is (to remove), but I have to look.
Question - I am using Root Explorer and when I navigate to /system/app and click on Mount RW, it doesn't change. It stays at RO. Root Explorer has been granted Super User permissions.
