I'm not an "expert" on the forum, but since you're still waiting for replies, here's what I did:
The first thing I did after opening the box was figure out how to get the memory card installed and pry off that back cover to admire the phone's awesome interior. Since red and black are my favorite colors, I was impressed already. Even a red battery -- wow, they really did go all out. If I designed a phone, it would look just like this.
Then I put on the red silicone cover, which is actually rather stiff to flex and snaps onto four corners with a little work, but then fits like a glove.
After activation, I set up a new GMail account so I could get info synced to the phone, added my other email accounts, signed into social networking sites and added my WiFi router as a wireless connection. Now I was in touch with anyone who mattered - anyone else would just have to call *me* 'cause I wasn't calling them just yet.
Then I went into the settings and checked that everything was set up to my liking, turned Location On rather than 911 only, set pix and videos to save to memory card rather than internal memory.
Then I rearranged the 7 screens into categories. I went to the marketplace and downloaded apps, then added relevant icons to the pages I designated for Friends, Music, Travel, Settings, etc. This way whatever I want to do is organized in one place, just flipping to that screen has everything related.
There's a great live wallpaper already on the phone that responds to sounds played on the phone, that I tested after selecting some Pandora radio stations, and it looked Incredible!
I still have no saved songs, ringtones, lists, pictures, memos, contacts, tasks or calendar because that's going to be today's project; salvaging them from the Windows Mobile device.
