IF (and it's not going to happen) Apple could manage to outclass the best Androids on the market at any given time, by virtue of amazing hardware, I still wouldn't give them a second look because of how much I detest iOS. Just like I detest OSX. They are both too dummied down, lack customization options and "walled garden" descriptions so often applied to iOS couldn't be more apt. I am a happy Android device user. It's not perfect, but oh my, does it do a whole lot of stuff better than iOS. Apple without Jobs is going to suffer more and more and more...
All this from a guy with 12 iPods and a Macbook Pro in the house (my mistake--thought it would be OK for the wife). I curse it every time I help her with it or when I use it when I'm too lazy to go to my mostly-home office-bound gaming laptop (read: bad battery life and heavy, but awesome in every other way).
