Hack my power drain post jelly bean please

These are the two things I disabled, so far no problem disabling them, I don't get the media issue now, time will tell if I have to enable them again.

Is this the app you suggest?

I think that the first thing that I'd do for your problem is to get your neighbor to reset their cable/dsl modem after turning off the router. Then let the modem come up, and when it's fully up, turn on the router and let it come up. And see where you stand at that point. I just did this today, helped me a lot, can't hurt if everything's working. If that doesn't help, you can go from there in troubleshooting. I've had wireless routers just stop doing wireless, they can get flaky over time.

Oh and if I remember correctly, if media because a big issue, I'm thinking that formating the SDcard with the phone, takes care of that...I think..would have to research to make sure.

I don't see any mention of the *#0011# trick here. I'm always on my WiFi and after having turned on the power save, its a huge difference.

But, everyone is not always on wifi, I rarely turn it on myself.

Ok. Here's my overnight results.
Interestingly, it did much better.
However, I don't know how to interpret the results from better battery stats.
Thoughts?

BTW, is *#0011# only if I'm always on wifi? (I'm only wifi 20% of the time)

Mike

My understanding is that it enables your wifi to sleep. I'm on WiFi all the time when I'm at home and it doesnt chew through my battery as much with that enabled.

I'm catching up on a few things and then have something I have to do and will be back in a bit and look at your results. Now I'm learning this app too, There are a few around here that use it and will be able to help us. One thing, I checked many things and a few things I recognized popped up, that would be the first thing you want to look for...

Kelly, certainly no rush. You are doing this as a good deed, sharing your expertise, and I very much appreciate it.

BTW, today my battery was pretty good (dare I say maybe slightly better than ICS). It's been up 19.25 hours, drained 75% (which was 3.8% per hour), with 1.75 hours of screen time. The held-a-wake of 2.75 hours sounds like it might be an issue, but now I'm interested in trying to maximize and get it as good as you got :-)

One note: I had Lookout installed BEFORE, but uninstalled it the day of the upgrade and have not put it back yet.

And BTW, in the spirit of it never hurts to re-check something you think was ok:

One of the several twitter apps that I don't use was set to auto-refresh every 10 minutes. YIKES!!! I know I had turned off notifications but in tweetcaster, you must set BOTH to off.

And, in my family locator app, I know I had my refresh track to be half a day, but somehow, during one of the app updates, it changed back to every 10 minutes.

Now I'm going to recheck ALL the apps that were listed in my cpu snapshots above.

Lesson learned !!

Mike
