Hey guys! I got to mess around with the V30 for a bit the other day, and these are my initial impressions. I like the feel of the V30, it's sleek, the curved edges are nice. I personally like the square feel of the G6 better. The phone runs quick! Didn't experience any lag. The camera is what stands out to me. It's phenomenal. From the few minutes I had I was impressed. I popped open a YouTube video to check out sound quality, which was great! (Still want stereo speakers though) If anyone has any questions ask away!

How was that BRAND SPANKIN NEW OLED SCREEN JESUS CHRIST!?!?!?!?!?!

OH YEAH! The screen looked phenomenal! I liked the colors, and I just love oled in general!

lol Thanks!! Every time I go check out the TV section at Best Buy I'm always looking and comparing Samsungs best set with LGs top OLED set and the LG set is soooo freakin nice!! Price is way too high though! One day I shall own one!!

What color and how'd it look?
Did it feel big/small in hand?
Max brightness bright enough?
Did you check available ram?
Did you check available storage?
Any info on the V30+?

Good to hear. I'll more than likely be switching to this from a Note 4 which has been awesome for over 2 years. What colors will be available?

Engadget says low light performance isn't as good as the top cameras.
I wouldn't trust Engadget as a reliable source for camera evaluations. Always wait for Juan Bagnell's real camera review for a reliable source AND quality samples.

People giving LG cameras good reviews tend to be photographers who are comfortable with manual settings. For point and shoot guys who primarily use the camera indoors without flash the LG is underwhelming compared to any top Samsung

That may be partly true

I always like his videos.
There are some really good features and specs that make me want to get this phone. Just have decide whether or not to pre-order.
Despite my desired deal breaker features not leaving with many choices I can live with I am loving what I see. Now you know how I feel about a dedicated DAC. Won't buy a phone without one. If tomorrow DAC's ceased to exist I would still buy this phone for its feature set.

never used a samsung but can say that as a photographer who uses his LG V20 manually the camera is phenomenal (for a phone).
