Had a play with the Samsung Galaxy S6

Had a play with the S6 in a phone store yesterday. I recently had a decision to make - the Nexus 5 or the S6. I chose the Nexus 5. It was nice being able to have a go with the S6 and have my choice vindicated. The S6 felt too insubstantial to me, almost felt hollow, like the iPhone 6. I like a little heft in my phones. It didn't look as good as I was expecting - too slab-like, similar to the Sony Xperia Z3. As for TouchWiz, well it's horrible. Rather cartoonish, brash colours and nasty icons. Even with Google Launcher or Nova the underlying TouchWiz interface would be apparent every time you move from the home screen. It would take a lot of customising (if that were possible) to tone down the look.

Anyone else had a go on the S6?

I have, but not for long. Sammies are, regrettably, no-go for me because of the layout of their screen nav buttons.
