Had anyone tried water proof?

I'm sure I'll be testing it out when I inevitably drop it in the river while Fly fishing, my old Droid Turbo survived that once.

Purchase the leaf micro sd card reader on amazon is only 10 bucks and you could put a 128gb card in there like I do to unload videos and pics. I use it for my s6 edge 64gb and I will be using it for my new s6 Active

Thank you so much for this suggestion. Mine arrived today and it is a perfect solution for freeing up space or backing up photos on the go.

As soon as I get to the pool you better believe I will taking some under water pics of my boys. I had the Sony Z3C and water kept seeping in and finally the usb stopped working. We will see what Galaxy S6 Active can handle.

No problem the leaf micro sd is awesome and a perfect solution that's why I don't understand why people complain about storage when it's so easy to unload

Ditto, I can't wait to get some pics of the kids underwater.

I have a question, I have a s6 edge as well if I keep taking out the Sim card from the active will it hurt the seal for water resistant active or should I be fine cause I still love my s6 edge and use it on the weekends and when I go somewhere fancy?

Overtime it is going to wear out that seal but I wouldn't worry about it. I'm guessing you might see a difference after like 1,000 swaps? Most water resistant phones depend on removable seals for charging and those are used a lot

Went snorkeling in Key Largo FL. Took the phone in with no extra case or protection. It spent about 4 hours in the water. Most of the photos were taken when diving at around 8-10 feet. Shrunk the images when posting to Instagram because wifi here is ungodly slow.

Phone still works the same as the day I got it.

I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones.

My S6 Active was repaired due to a cracked LCD screen. However, it came back from the repair center with seals missing or something because the next time I exposed it to water, the camera lenses fogged up. I sent it back in for a repair because the back button stopped working. At this point, I'm no longer confident in having it in or around water. I guess I'll just treat it as any device that doesn't have an IP68 rating.

I hope to get through the remaining 20 months of the NEXT program without any issues.
