Half of contacts LOST

Hi, on 1/1/2013 half of my contacts were gone, i only had the names showing on my contact list but the numbers were lost. Then on the second day the other half gone!

So, i now tried to merge with samsung or google and this message keeps coming up "no phone account contacts to merge with samsung account " although i have about 200 numbers in my phone book.

HELP please, how can i backup without using Keis.

Gmail contacts on a pc and have a look if they are still there. If they are then perhaps you can remove the Google account from the phone and add again, which will force it to sync all your contacts properly.
