Half screen static lines. Please help!

I dropped my old phone in pool (I work for pool company) and my insurance sent me a "refurbished" phone. I had it a week before this occurred. It still has the one sticker on back its so new. It went away after 2 days on its own. The next time I turned the phone off it came back and has been like this ever since. I contacted them and they said I would have to pay for a new one. Since it went away on its own previously I have hopes it can be fixed? Please any and all input is much appreciated.

Whatever the cause, it looks like a hardware fault, so you were presumably sent a faulty phone if it was like that when it was sent.
