I'm not site what Hancom Office Editor is, but apparently Samsung installed it for me last night from the Galaxy store. Searched for it, but it doesn't show up on my apps page. Anybody know what it is or if I need it?

It's a free editor for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. Was much more useful before Googles App Suite and Microsofts really took off on mobile. I much prefer the mobile versions of Office.

In order to remove or disable it, you have to go into Applications and make sure "System Apps" is selected. You'll find it there.

Yes, that puzzles me too. It was listed as an update in Galaxy Apps so I installed it. It appeared in the applications manager as a 114mb app (Hancom Office) but there was no icon for it listed in the Apps screens (not in the Samsung folder either). Therefore, although it appears to be installed on the phone there isn't any way to run it! I went back to the Applications Manager and chose the disable option (there was NOT an uninstall option) and then it actually disappeared from the list (did not remain listed with a "disabled" text beside it). Weird.

Exactly. How am I supposed to try it out if there's nothing to launch? I'm guessing it's built into Notes or some other Samsung application. I haven't disabled it yet because I want to find out where it works and what it does first.

I looked up Hancom Office in the Galaxy Store and read some of the comments and replied from Hancom. Apparently Hancom Office Editor is not supported by the Note 7. Why it thinks its a system app that needs to be updated is still a mystery. I want to make clear that after the update installed the option to uninstall was not present -- only the option to disable it. However disabling it seems to have uninstalled it as it is gone from the applicaion manager. It doesn't even appear in the list of disabled apps. I think this is an example of bloatware behaving badly.

Have u tried opening any excel, PowerPoint, or word documents? Such as those u would receive in an email. It's a program built for Android to help open those types of programs. It's not the type u would create with, just one u would use to open already created documents. Kind of like Adobe flash player. U can't actually use It, but without it u wouldn't be able to run certain programs.

Installed last night without my permission like a virus. Also activated permissions without my approval. This is not right and should be illegal!
