Handcent and Battery

I installed Handcent about a week ago and my battery life has gotten worse. I went from 13-16 hours on a charge to 6-8.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Shouldn't have that much of a toll on the battery. What are the settings for Handcent because when I used it I didn't get that much drain, maybe took 30-45 minutes off total battery life.

Do you use the pop-up and it turns screen? What about the time out of the popup screen if you do as well as if the popup unlocks the screen?
