Handcent doing weird stuff!

All of a sudden Handcent stopped vibrating for any incoming text messages and also some windows is popping up with the text message when a new one is received. What the heck happened?

Ok it isn't just hancent its even the native app and sounds aren't happening either.


Ok. It vibrates when someone called me. Pretty much every other setting the phone should vibrate for it does except incoming texts.

Ok so what the heck did I do?

I'm not sure of the answer to this, but please edit your original post when you have new information instead of adding a new post for readability.

The only thing I could think of would be the settings aren't set like you think they are. Have you double checked the sound and notification settings in Menu --> Settings --> Sound ? Double check those and then try a full power off / reset and see what happens.

Sorry. I would have edited if I could have. I changed nothing. I downloaded the program suggested called settings profiler or something like that today. Messed with it are little bit and found it didn't do what I wanted some I uninstalled it. After that I got some tests in and the phone acted normally. Tonight is forgot work. Got dressed. Want to roll call. For my car and realized I was not being notified of incoming texts after a couple co-workers sent me a few text messages.

Yes. Also uninstalled tried native app then reinstalled same results.

Download "Sound Manager" from the Market, and make sure under settings that it is set to vibrate always. This is a VERY common problem in the forum...I don't mean to be rude, but the "search" function is there for a reason.

ever since i went to FROYO leak i dont use handcent anymore i like the new SMS widget and the new sense messaging app
