Handcent = keyboard laggy?

Hey so I've been using handcent on my maxx HD and I'm using it with the stock keyboard however, I feel its very slow and my fingers typing quicker than the words coming out.

Any way to fix this so its quick. Maybe I need a new keyboard I'm not sure?

Try out some of the other keyboards but I always found Handcent was an issue.Great program but slow
