Handcent not available on Market??

Does anyone know if Handcent SMS is NOT available for the Bionic? When I do a search on Market for Handcent, all I get is two options: Handcent SMS for Korean and SMS for Chinese.

I can access the Handcent.com website, which refers to Market for downloads. Yet, I've tried every type of search possible on Market and get nada. I have no filters in place for Market's settings.

Very weird. Never had problems with Market before.

I just checked your right it's not in there I have it on my bionic they must have taken it down

The problem isn't with your Bionic:

It was nothing more then a shame that acted as a skin over your phone current text plan. One that trully never worked as a stand along SMS app that allowed you to avoid texting charges like it claimed. In fact if you used it you could face additional texting costs, which is what happened on my ATT Samsung Infuse. This is because it mirrored each text back through the phone so each text still was charged by your carrier even though you thought you were saving money. In fact many texts ending up costing more as Handcent would break larger worded texts into several seperate sends and then put them back together. So instead of one text being charged you were hit with the cost of two or three. Which was not so bad on the domestic side of things but bites fast on the international side, even with an international texting plan you still pay for each incoming text, which when it is broken into three parts gets costly and costly fast.

There are better apps out there that did not do this, one of which is google voice.

Well, that link explains things. I know Handcent had been very popular. Was very weird not to find it in Market. Thanks!

BTW, downloaded the apk for Handcent via their website, installed it and all working well. Am looking forward to whenever the Market/Google/Handcent (whichever is the problem) issue is resolved so I can download some of the related apps. Sure makes for a beautiful UI - much improved over stock. And, extremely customizable! No wonder it's been a favorite of so many for such a long time.

I love Handcent! I always match it to the wallpaper on the desktop. I'm such a nerd! Lol!

I checked Handcent's Facebook page and they said they expect to be back in Market Monday (tomorrow) with an updated version. Hope that's true.

BTW, jensinger83 - how do you use your own photos/wallpaper for Handcent backgrounds - if I'm understanding you right? I've only had the app a couple days and still finding my way around all the options. I thought I could only use their theme downloads. If you get a chance, could you PM me? (click my name by the avatar for the option to PM) Thanks!

Quick question for everyone i have a incredible 2 my fiance has a boinic and wants handcent because of the option to give everyone there own picture in the thread, but whenever we do it for her they seem all pixilated and blurry. Is this the same for everyone? We had the same issue with full screen caller id.
Any way to fix it?
