Handcent pop up broken with gb

So when I start typing to respond to an SMS in the pop up window, I press the keys but no text shows up. This just started happening with gb. Any ideas for fixes?

Mine has randomly done that since I've had handcent. Long before Gb. Kinda annoy and random, but w/e.

I love Handcent.....but lately I've been using GoSms.....u can assign individual notification tones for each contact.

I haven't had any issues with typing

Since the update, everytime a get a text, I get 2 notifications in the status bar....I use handcent, any ideas?

Yes, because the default message program is still notifying you.

Go into the default message program NOT Handcent, then:

Menu --> Settings --> Notifications and click OFF "Received Notifications"

Also, for good measure, scroll down a little more and shut off NOTIFICATION SOUND. This drove me crazy because I would get a double sound notification and it would annoy my daughter...."Dad, geez, turn it off"

That should do it!
