Handcent SMS Custom LED Notifications not working

So, pretty much what the title says: I'm creating a custom light (pink) and it doesn't work when I test it (it says testing and you need to turn the screen off to get the notification) or when I get a message. Anyone else having this or knows what to do to get it to work. It seems the standard pre-made colors work.

I just attempted to create a customer color and you are correct. Custom colors do not seem to do anything at all, it would not even blink the default system color.
