Maybe this is dumb, and it's more of a question, but if your contacts ("People") are listed with different names than their Facebook names (i.e. "Joseph Blow" in Facebook and "Joe Blow" in contacts), they won't sync, will they?

One more try... DID YOU go into People > Menu > More > Link contacts... and then link all your contacts to your Facebook friends????
