I have a pair of Shure 115m media headphones with a center button, volume up/down buttons, and inline mic. I used these headphones with my iphone3g and briefly with an iPhone4 which I traded for a DroidX. The headphones however do not behave in a useful way on the Droid. The volume up down buttons do occasionally skip tracks and no other features work. When I have the headphones in and I take a call I hear the caller through the earbuds but they can't hear me whether I talk into the inline mic or the mic on the phone. So basically if I take a call while listening to music I need to unplug the headphones and take the call then reconnect the headphones after the call ends. Is there any fix to get this working properly or does anyone know of another product that is compatible with the DroidX?

rocket fish(best buy brand) makes a pretty decent bluetooth headset that i use. sound is great. all button functions work. reasonably priced as well. idk why u would use wired a wired headset with this phone to begin with. I think your buttons and mic dont work because it wasnt intended to be used with the X.

I have that rocketfish headset i love it works excellent.streaming sirius radio to it now

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will check out the RocketFish. Does anyone know of a wired headset the works? I prefer a wired headset over bluetooth for several reasons, no battery to charge, better sound quality, and no radiation next to my head.

I haven't tried the mic (headset part) yet, but I'm a fan of the Motorola S305 bluetooth headphones. I've tried more expensive headphones, but keep coming back to those.
