Hands on opinion with the Razr M

Nice review! But is that last statement right? If my sister upgrades her vzw droid X to the razr m, she'll lose her grandfathered unlimited data???

Unless she pays full price for the phone she will lose the unlimited data.

Sent from my Razr

Went to online account and tried to upgrade her line and it alerted me the unlimited data option will go away and I HAVE TO choose the new shared plan. Also tried to transfer the upgrade from a dummy phone line to a smartphone and I had 2gb for $30 or 5gb for $50.

Lame haha

For the record, I picked up two Verizon Razr M's for the wife and I. They beat the hell out of the old LG's we hated, along with Sprint which we also learned to loathe. So far so good, we both really like the phone and have had absolutely no issues. She is a light user and wants battery life. As she doesn't demand much from her phone it will stay charged for a couple of days. I use the crap out of mine and it easily stays charged during my 8-10 hour work day. On the weekends I can go more than a day on a charge. Again, I am heavy user, occasionally the phone gets a little bogged down when I am trying to do several things at once, but overall it handles my demands with ease. I have a 32gb card in mine and have it loaded with music as well. In the car I use a holder and frequently run navigation, tunes, and the phone at the same time with no trouble.

Yes, unless she gets a phone from a third party OR pays verizon's astronomical "full price".
I asked this question, of Verizon and saved the email reply. They said that I could get another phone from a third party and be good to go in keeping my unlimited data. So, I did!

I ended up going for the developer version and yes, I still have my unlimited data. All I had to do was take my sim card out of my TBolt and put it in the M. A little surgery was required to get it down to size (a google search for "mini to micro sim" should get you instructions), but everything is working great.
