We've used Sammy phones for at least 15 years but a few months ago I decided to try a P9P Pro xl for myself and a P9P Pro for my wife. They're nice phones but I think the Samsung phones may be a little better or it may just be that after so many years of using Samsung we are completely used to their phones.

What I will say is that my experience so far with the Pixel cameras is that they take clearly superior pics to our Samsung phones.

Yes. I get that Samsung is better over all. But in the end, I am tired of asking my wife for her Pixel 9 so I can take decent photos. And I am tired of large phones too. My OCD also doesn't play nice with double apps :) it's only a few and I dont even use them, but still. 2 stores and 2 photo galleries is annoying. I dont understand why Samsung Gallery can't just sync with Google Photos....makes no sense.

I used to be Pixel fan since Nexus One, then switched to Samsung and never looked back. Now I wanna give Pixel another try

There's just something about a Samsung phone that can't be duplicated. I love features that some may call gimmicks. The Pixel 9 pro is cool but it needs some work with overheating and the onscreen fps. Love the assistant features though and wish I could pay to port them over especially the calling features. They're so intuitive.

Yeah the fps on the pixel 9 is the best one yet. But it still struggles to register and the face unlock has to kick in to open the device. Not a deal breaker, but the samsung scanner always works perfectly. I also find the Pixel to be a bit too 'boring." Agan not a deal breaker, but I still like Samsung just that tiny bit better overall.

It kinda is a tad boring . Also idk why but my brokerage apps often times freeze and I have to reload them which can be annoying when I'm trying to get out of a trade. With that said I'll say the Pixel 9 series has seem to be their most fluid irritation yet. Excited to see what the 10 is about.

I've taken many great photos on my Samsung Ultras over the years. Can say how Pixel photo are since I despise that candy bar camera housing on the rear. Often thought if they just did what the S10 did vs bumping it out, I would be willing to give them another chance. (I did have a 4XL)

I actually prefer the camera bar on Pixel. When the case is on my S24, its next to impossible to make all lens clean, on Pixel its 1 swipe. Sometimes I even remove S24 case to clean lens, but as soon as you pocket the phone, have to clean again from all the dust etc

Next to impossible; however, NOT impossible.:)
And these photos were taken when the phone was directly pulled out of my rear pocket aimed and shot.
For the Eagles no time to screw around cleaning a lens since they can fly off in a second) and most of the time they do.

River...to dang cold to clean off an lenses it was around 5 degrees

However, the camera bar is subjective, some like it some don't. Just like many do not like the lineup of lenses on the S-series phone and some prefer the square look of the iPhone Pro series. My apple buddy loves that square layout with the three cameras tucked inside.

On thing I will say with the S-series it is VERY easy to place a finger on one of the lenses due to their positions on the back of the phone; learning curve and still happens at times.

And yes, all the photos would be better if I was carrying around my DSLR(s) and a few of my pro lenses; however, they are not light
