Hangouts from 4.4

Anyone else sideload and use the new hangouts from 4.4 as their main texting app? I started yesterday and for the most part it seems to work fine. The only thing it won't do is recognize the name of people synced from Facebook.

How's your experience been so far? Share your pros/cons and tips/tricks if you've found any.

I don't know what I was expecting but it is nice to have only one icon in the dock now. I wonder if I can delete the old SMS app?

I like the set mood option. I set mine to the pile of p00p picture.

I would like an option to invert the colors. I'm sure a themed version will pop up soon but it soul be nice to be stock. Or themes stock of course.

I did encounter an issue. My messages wouldn't send anymore for some reason. I've uninstalled and went back to the previous version. I'm waiting for a 4.4 rom to be released before using it again.

I have an HTC One (AT&T) and I have had issues with this version of hangouts, my gf gets my sms messages from it just fine but at time the messages through hangouts get lost somewhere. They seem to send just fine from my phone and never get to hers. She never gets notified, this also happens when she sends me messages thru hangouts and not sms also. She has a GS4 (AT&T) this is something that really bothers me and I am wondering if it could be due to the fact that it hasnt been released for other phones other than the N5... any thoughts?
