Hangouts Notification Questions

Hi - Does anyone use the "hangouts" as their primary app to send and receive text messages? I use GoSMS, but I was thinking of using Hangouts. However, I do not seem to get a notification per each text message that I receive. Keep in mind that I disabled the notifications for GoSMS.

Do you not get a notification per each text you receive with Hangouts? My SW Version is 4.3. I hope to get more insight.

Let me test something on my 4.3 Galaxy Nexus. I'll update this post soon.

Ok, you have to disable GO SMS, and then go into Hangouts, go to Settings > SMS and tick 'Turn on SMS'.
