I have it on my Nexus 5 ! ,
, Google pushes it out little by little throughout this week probably so it wont be an overload.

Got it on my wife's GNex, but not on my Nexus 5. However, my wife's GNex didn't give me the popup asking if I want to use hangouts for google voice. Not sure what's going on with that.

Got the popup this morning and it works. But for a new text, you can not select to send the text from your carrier number, it's all done through your Google Voice number. This isn't what I was expecting. I thought there would be some type of option to choose how you want the text sent. If there is an option to choose, I haven't found it yet, and if there isn't an option, I'll be opting out of this new feature soon.
Got the popup this morning and it works. But for a new text, you can not select to send the text from your carrier number, it's all done through your Google Voice number. Got it last night and I like it - currently on my M8 unlocked and in the UK. One thing I didnt like was the google dialer. I installed it to run inside Hangouts, when I try to make a call it tells me I don't have any credit. I was under the impression it would make a call using my data allowance - which is unlimited with my carrier. Apart from that I like the new Hangouts

Oh, I didn't know they had more things to activate on the back end. Seems odd that they doing a rolled out release, and it's still not working properly for the people they released it for. Oh well, I"ll just give it a few more days to see what happens.

Something is wrong. I don't have any GV credits and I've made several calls using the app just to test it out, and it worked fine. It should use your cellphone data or wifi.

Yeah thats what I thought! I remember reading somewhere that it only applies to US and Canada - so maybe (as usual) the UK is forgotten about? either way, I un-installed Google Dialer and all seems well I like the new layout

I don't see the "Send From" choice in SMS even though the Google support page shows this option. This is a deal breaker so I'm sticking with separate GV and Messaging apps for now.

I posted about this a while ago. Someone replied to me that it's yet, something else that google has to enable. I'm with you, if this option isn't available, I'll have to unmerge GV.

I got the blue box update today on my VZW G'Nex haven't played with it too much yet. I did get a text that usually went to GVoice to go through Hangouts, but that's about all I can report back on so far.

I just returned to the Hangouts app, and, even though it didn't download an update, the missing features mentioned yesterday are now here. You can choose whether to send your text from GV or your SIM number, you can receive your texts in Hangouts. The dialer out works fine - I even went to airplane mode and just turned on WiFi to confirm that VOIP calling is working.
The only remaining problem is that, although GV Voicemail now appears in Hangouts, the voice messages themselves are not loading. The transcription is there but I cannot listen to the message. I'll bet that works soon as well.
