Happy New User of Nexus 6P

Have had my 6 p for about 4 months now and still love it! For sometime I have been researching rooting. I'm pretty sure I would love it but not so confident to do so. Any suggestions?

I suggest using Wug's Nexus Root Kit. It has been the easiest root process to me so far. Everything is automated.

128gigs are sold out on Amazon, FYI. I almost did it, had in my cart, then went out of stock. Kinda glad, going to sit this one out and wait on the new Nexus in the fall. I've had a 6P before and while it was a nice phone, it just wasn't as good as I hoped. YMMV.

Got the silver 128GB. Upgraded from a Moto Droid Turbo 64GB. Leaving VZW for Fi in November when my contract is up.

So far I'm impressed with the phone. Only slight complaint is the camera shutter, seems a bit slow.

I ordered it and then a hour after it was sold out and not shipped I cancelled it. Glad I did. My Nexus 6 is running great and the new Nexus in the fall which we all know is coming will already make the 6P obsolete in a few months because of some great new features that won't be in the 6P.

Obsolete is a harsh term, if the rumors are true it will definitely be better but the current 6P will still be a great second option if ppl can't afford the new one.

If you think Vanilla Android is great, root that bad boy and install a custom ROM! I highly suggest Dirty Unicorns.

Pure nexus is my rom of choice, DU is another great rom too

I switched to a Nexus 6P from a 3 1/2 year old BlackBerry Z10 this past Monday. The battery of the Nexus is twice what I had, the camera is great, it's very fast, and I love Vanilla Marshmallow and its new features.

Ya know I also agree. The extreme doze of Nougat, coupled with the battery and everything else of the Nexus 6p really do make it a force to be reckoned with in the smartphone world!
