Happy with battery

I'm pretty happy with the battery on my S6, nearly full day on a charge with nearly 5hrs SOT. Is this about right compared to others?

I really never like to 'compare to others' since usage varies GREATLY by person. But if, like your title states, you're happy with YOUR battery stats... then don't sweat it! This phone is great for you

I totall agree with SpookDroid here, there is so much variation based on how you use your phone, but your battery life looks great. I get slightly less than you most days, but I'm happy with it. I don't usually get below 30-40% on any day, and I have not yet needed to charge during the day since I got it a month ago!

Thanks for the positive post, Johntankard! I've actually been avoiding these forums lately due to all the negativity, especially since I'm loving this phone and this forum has been quite the buzzkill lately.

A positive battery post, cool. count me as being very happy with mine it always gets me through the day. which is the bottom line.

I have had my S6 for a few days and am very happy with my battery life. With heavy usage I can get through the day. Coming from a note 4, I was worried.

I'm happy as well (verizon edge). My last two phones were an '13 Motorola X (poor battwry), and a razr maxx hd, which has a huge battery and great life. The S6 has been a lot closet to the droid than the moto.

I'm also happy with my battery life (Verizon S6). I consistently see 4+ hours SOT and 5+ isn't unheard of. Usually that's with about 30-40% battery life left too, I'd probably see 6+ hours if I ever went to zero.

Edit to note this: The above is during the work week. On the weekends I tend to use it more heavily, and although I still see 4+ hours of SOT, the heavier usage definitely shows and I'd never get 5+ with heavy usage. Still acceptable in my opinion.

Couldn't be happier. After the concerns raised by many, I went for it anyway and have been surprised. Last week I turned off one of the google settings (history?) that is largely attributed to the standby issue. While I never saw Standby as a big problem for me, it was often seen as a 4-6% contributor to battery depletion. Now, it's not showing on the list at all. Sitting here now, my phone estimates 30 hours of use time on the current charge.

I moved up from the S4 and I'm finding that the S6 consumes less battery. I did leave off a few apps, so that may have helped.
