Haptic keys lighting

Is the only way to disable the haptic keys to enable power saving mode?

As other threads have pointed out the T-Mobile version does not allow changing the light settings but the other american carriers do. Not sure about the international versions.

Maybe I was wrong then. I know the option exists on the AT&T model.

That was my reason for asking. I. Am aware other may have the option, but on verizon I do not see that feature unless you enable power saving.
