Hardware or Software issue?

I dropped my NS4G in some snow yesterday night but only the back cover was wet so i just wipe off the snow. Now today my phone starts freezing up and when I remove the battery and put it back in the charging animation comes on when the device IS NOT plugged in. Is this a hardware issue or can I take it to Sprint and pass it off as a software issue :'(

All depends on if any water got in there because they will definitely take the whole thing apart to check. Backup your info ahead of time because they will try a hard reset if they don't find any water damage

I took it in this morning. They did a hard reset, then they took it apart and found no water damage. It turns out there was a short in the battery post so they just gave me a refurb, so I'm good plus I got another $10 Google Pre-Paid Card when I went to set my Google Wallet back up .
