I have the Harmonia GB rom, and have played around with it for a bit. I see that alot of the GB roms have been updated and stuff...but not so much with Harmonia's :( Is this a dead rom or just that good? lol

Harmonia v1 was updated recently.

Harmonia 2 however is being a pain in the neck. A server went down and ever since then keeping a build box working long enough to get a good build has been almost impossible.

If i can get the buildbox working again, another release will come out.

Virgin Mobile billing

(Intended for Leslie Anne, but also for anybody with any feedback on this)
Hi, thanks for all the time you've spent helping people!

Your posts have helped a lot personally, and you seem to think along similar lines as myself, so I thought I'd ask you this.

And I know this off-topic, but I couldn't PM you because I don't have enough posts. :P

I'm running the IHO Cyanogenmod on LG Optimus V, and I use the Virignmobile $35 300 mintalk and unlimited text/data plan.

I've had the plan for almost 3 months, and they have been counting my minutes wrong, by their own admission (I just got off the phone with them from a 45 minute session that ended up at their Central American/Nicarauga support center)

I used 165 minutes, their site's usage summary shows 344, but the online call records that display when you log to your account in show only 165. They have been charging me 10 cents per minute, and I complained.

This happened last month as well, and they said they fixed it when I called them then -- obviously they didn't.

They just told me that they would credit me 75 minutes for now, and then in 24-72 hours I would have the correct number of minutes added back to my account, i.e., the overbilled ones.

But I haven't gotten the initial credit yet.

My question: have you ever heard of maybe something (or something missing) in the custom Optimus V ROMs causing billing inaccuracies?

Roms would not cause that.

that is virgin not putting your phone (which is really just a MEID number to them) on the correct plan.

they dont have you on the Beyond Talk, they somehow have you on a feature phone plan. get that sorted out.

Thanks for the response!

When I login to Virgin's web site, it shows the correct plan, and the call detail records show the correct minutes, its just that the billing system seems to be handling them wrong, and the large usage summary display is wrong.

The numbers are in the 'double billed' range -- 344 in the erroneus display, 165 in the call details. Both support personnel I talked to today agreed that the fault was with Virgin's system.

I also have 'Call Meter 3G' installed on the Optimus, and its log records are very close to Virgin's call details.

In my experience, if you want VM to fix something you have to call them repeatedly until they get it done. Also, not only does their left hand not know what the right hand is doing but it also doesn't seem to care.

if cpu governors were identical between harmonia 1.7 and 2.0, the apps were all the same and the usage was the same...which rom would give the better battery life?

All things being equal on an OV, Froyo is more efficient, though not by a whole lot with IHO roms, However, Harmonia 2 is a bit behind current IHO roms.

thanks :) harmonia 2 may be a bit behind other IHO roms...but i like it simply because its stripped down to the bare essentials

I'm very interested in Harmonia beacuse it is minimal -- I really, really like that idea.

But what does it mean, 'a bit behind'? One might also think that a minimal ROM would have better battery life.

Quite a few small improvements have been made to IHO since I made that. Apps have updated, battery life has gotten better... Mostly small stuff, but still improvements.
