Has anybody tried to utilize Android Auto app w/ LG G6?

I assuming you have AA installed on the phone. Are you using the stock cable?

Yes and it works well. Have to enable USB debugging though. Waze on Android auto in my Camaro rocks.

I have an aftermarket (Pioneer) head unit. It won't support Android Auto because of the screen size (6.5"...AA requires 7" as does my ex-wife). Bummer although it supports Apple Carplay. I also have an iPad Air 2 so I'll give that a whirl one of these days.

I've been using AA since I first got the G6. I also have USB debugging enabled. Recently, it sometimes either shuts down and restarts, or if I'm listening to music, it'll pause randomly. Beyond that, it's great. Waze finally being compatible is awesome!

AVIC-5200NEX. It's got a 6.2" screen (thought it was 6.5") and I think AA needs a 7" screen to work correctly. Could be that I could make it work but it's not that important. Never thought about it before I bought the head unit or I would have spent the extra $$$ for one with a bigger screen.

I never thought it had anything to do with screen size. I thought some older models just weren't compatible due to software. Interesting.

I also use it all the time. My only beef is that about half the time when I try to make phone calls or receive them, the stupid phone decides to use speaker phone instead of the car system.
