This is what i'm talking about i get this on most roms and even a few times on 100% stock..

Re: Has anyone else had a lack of responsiveness randomly from th

Do you mind describing the issue?

I'm at work and can't view a video, lest I risk beheading.

Re: Has anyone else had a lack of responsiveness randomly from th

Like ill be using it find then all of a sudden i notice that typing im missing keys and it doesnt register about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the keypresses and when i go back to the homescreen or app drawer i swype left and right and it like hesitates and doesnt swipe properly. Or it'll not swype at all and will open a random app i was close too. It's EXTREMELY irritating. Never used to do this.

Re: Has anyone else had a lack of responsiveness randomly from th

And you're on liquid currently? I always experience some lag with custom keyboards. If you're on Swype (which maybe you are?) then the lag could be through that. Also remember that with roms, kernels, undervolting, etc., you might be on a very conservative powerband and thus any intense, spontaneous need for power might make you freeze up temporarily.

What version of Liquid are you running and did you flash and use the V6 Supercharger?

I'm currently on A CM9 build which has only ever had it happened once whne adjusting the launcher settings.

I tried liquid but it happened to much it was unusable. No v6 supercharger nothing. It also happens a lot on AXIOM which upsets me because thats my favorite rom.

Interesting. AXI0M has little lag for me, but when there is lag, it's from Nova launcher and the transitions. It could just be the launcher doing too much at any given time?

It's not that it lags though, it's an actual lack of touchscreen responsiveness. Like it doesnt register me touching the screen at all.

Hmm. I remember there being a setting for that in either the main settings or one of the roms. Let me root around (pun intended).

At best, it might just need a good cleaning. At worst, the responsiveness maybe a HW issue.

Thanks! I thought it was HW and got scared but then i realized it never happened on unrooted 4.0.2 and also it has never happened on 2 days of gummy a week of aokp and only once on cm. It's basically just liquid and axiom.

And it's not always, i'll be doing something then i change a setting in settings ad boom it happens then i just press power and then power again and unlock it and it goes away.

In settings go to language and input then pointer speed. Try playing around with that. It might help it might not.

i thought that was just for when a mouse was connected to the phone.

OP, i think it may be a hardware issue since you are having the problem across multiple ROMs and i am assuming through multiple "factory resets"

Could be. I've never fooled with it myself, but it's the only setting I see that has anything to do with using the screen like that.

I don't see any difference :(

I don't know if you've tried changing kernels as well - that could be your problem.

I've done a full sdard wipe with CMPLX6 Cleaner full before and it persisted. But if it was HW related would it really go away by simply turning the screen off and then back on? :\ ugh.

I've had it on trinity, franco, leankernel. Only once with stock 4.0.4.

Maybe ill try glados i don't remember ever having a problem with that or JDkernel. Maybe try popcorn.

have you done a factory reset though (assuming you have since you said you have the issue on different ROMs)

an "sd card" wipe shouldn't effect anything

if it is hardware related, IMO, you will have issues like you are saying, across multiple ROM's and kernals.
turning the screen off and on will not cure your hardware issues.

if this is on the software side,a factory data reset should fix the isses. if it doesnt, i would suggest a COMPLETE wipe of everything, locking the bootloader and all that jazz and see if it fixes it.

to me, it sounds like Hardware related though...unfortunately:(
