Has anyone else lost their AT&T company discount by going to the 5G unlimited plan?

We've had a 25% bill discount on our plan for years through the hospital my wife works at, not an unlimited plan, 30GB per month plus rollover. AT&T told me I can keep that plan with no 5G service that it can be discontinued at any time. That part I'm not sure is true, the whole grandfathered plan thing, they said you can use your existing plan with no 5G service or go to one of the 3 unlimited plans with 5G and give up our 25% monthly discount. So my $1,000 bill credit will probably be eaten up by the increased monthly service. AT&T is getting worse with the pricing, maybe they shouldn't have blew all the money they did on lousy Direct TV.

Actually I find they are a much better deal with their unlimited plans now. The more lines you get, obviously the more you save. I only have one and right now I have the old unlimited plan. I called to upgrade to the 5g one and I still kept my discounts and it was only about 4 dollars more. However, I didn't do it because then I lose my choice of premium channel (I picked Showtime) since they now force you to only have HBO Max. I have HBO already with my association so I figured I would wait it out. I consistently get 100+ Mbps so 5g isn't going to make a world of difference. It'll probably make the battery worse than it already is.

And actually, if your wife works in a hospital, at&t does very well for first responders and doctors and teachers as well.

They seem to do the corporate discount differently with the new plans. I think it's replaced by the "Signature Plan" which just gives you $10 off per line or something, so the savings are not as great - but the new plans themselves were so much cheaper than my grandfathered unlimited plans that my overall bill is a lot lower than before - and you get another $10 off for each line with autopay I believe.

Yeah and another discount I believe if you bundle other services (Uverse, etc)

Same plan, similar discount, 3 lines total for me. I contacted them and confirmed I would see $20 off each line; $10 off with my work discount, $10 off for autopay.

It makes $50/line just $30/line he insisted for the unlimited elite I think it's called. Now, I've been with AT&T more years than I care to count so I know to get that info a second time before committing. LOL. I was planning to switch the day our plan swaps or a day before, I'm close here.

Overall for me, I compared their various fees, our insurance, etc. and it appears the 5G is a savings for me. I actually worry with people talking about 5G being worse on battery, but I really would like to shave down that bill. Plus, I was paying for HBO Max and this includes it.

Can't recall since I've been on AT&T Unlimited Elite 5 phones on my account plus get a extra discount since i work in a restaurant.

Most carriers have started or already have removed these discounts. I always had 25% with Verizon they the plumbers association. Tmobile doesn't offer any new and existing will go away with a new plan.

OK went into an AT&T store today instead of trying to do this on the phone, all together with auto pay it only came out to just under $10 month more, so wasn't as bad as I was told on the phone. My plan was so old I couldn't even check my data usage on the website.

I upgraded to the Unlimited Elite plan like three months ago and as of right now we are paying $40 per person. We are a group of 6 and we have a 17% company discount in addition to autopay and ecobill.

Not sure about at&t but whenever I would upgrade a phone through Sprint, they would make me re verify my employee discount. From what I've seen that is typical with upgrades or plan changes.

No experience with AT&T but Verizon did similar a few years ago when they brought back unlimited.

I found tmobile has the lowest prices plans. Years back they were the worst carrier but now I get service almost everywhere and 5G is all around my area. I was 27 years with Verizon and 5 with AT&T and now 2 years with tmobile and so far they are the best their customer service is over the top in my opinion.

I don't have any issue with my corp discount on Elite Unlimited. Original $50 per line and only pay $30+ tax per line.

I currently pay 65.65 total a month on their "old" Unlimited & More Premium Line . Upgrading to 5G would only be an extra 3 dollar hike but I'll hold off for now. I don't want to lose Showtime premium channel and my LTE speeds area fantastic

They offered HBO Max now instead of Showtime.

Yeah I know. They offered a few Premium channels before as well as Spotify and some other service. I picked Showtime because I already have HBO bundled with another service. So I don't want to waste that "free" channel on getting HBO again

Ahh gotcha. To be honest, I don't even watch HBO or any premium services anymore.

True. Same here but every so often it's good to have. And now that all of DC is going over to HBO I'll probably watch it more. It's incredible how with all the services my girlfriend and I have, there is still "nothing" to watch. We spend half the time just looking for something lol. I'll have to use my S pen and make a list whenever names pop up in my head

I always order from Samsung, buy outright, then AT&T never makes me re-verify my discount - thank God, because I am retired and not from the Company my discount is from!!!
