Both my wife and I and some friends have been having reception issues in the Los Angeles area.
My battery almost never makes it into a second day anymore as the radios are always running at full power. I did call Verizon and after a week they called me back and said "its a known issue"

Sounds typical, and valid. That many people affected, they are on it, but you won't get anything much more out of them. Could be days, could be weeks. Dial back all synching, opt for 3g for the time being, or even leave the radio off most of the time.

I thought it was just ME or my neighborhood. I live at the beach on the side of a hill. There are no towers in the Pacific so, my signal was marginal until I installed a Wilson Repeater with an antenna on the roof (solid 4 bars). My signal has deteriorated. The signal in my office near Rodeo drive/Wilshire - was always reliable. I don't use my mobile that much in the office but yesterday, I dropped calls several times. I've also been dropping calls while driving -this hasn't happened since I switched from ATT.

Calling Verizon is on my list of weekend chores.

How long has this been happening for you?

I'm guessing I'm very late at seeing this post. I have had a major drop only in about a 3 mile radius around my house. Up until about the 2nd wk of Feb both of my phones worked perfect. I have one that is an Android (my personal), another that is an iPhone (work phone) but both are through Verizon.. When the issue 1st started I called Verizon & they admitted that there was an issue alerted for my area that I live in. When I called back over a week later they denied that anything was ever a problem & haven't done anything about it since. I'm going to be leaving Verizon due to this. I've heard that many ppl are experiencing issues, I'm thinking they're getting skimpy and removing towers or something in certain areas which is causing the all of the sudden ZERO reception :-/ Crazy for the amount of $ paid for their svc's!!!
