has anyone got Edge Lighting to work for alerts on an S8?

Does it work for other apps? This feature is so buggy. It never works when the screen is off like it is supposed to. The only apps that work for me are pushbullet and Android messages when the screen is on.

Have you had any luck since you posted this? I got an update on my Sprint GS8+ today that updated the nav bar but Edge lighting still does not work. I've spent so much time trying to get this to work but still nothing. PUshbullet and Android Messages work when the screen is off.

I have only seen mine work while screen is on. I have yet to get it to work with AOD off and screen off.

It worked fine on my Note 8. But, I decided to change from the stock messaging app to Android Messages. Ever since then, it stopped working.

We installed Edge Lighting from the app store to get different colors for different apps. That feature in not available on the stock Edge Lighting.

I don't see how to get different color lights for different apps.

I have found that the edge lighting only works when your phone is face down. My s8+ edge lighting works flawlessly face down, nothing when not.was told that is the only time us should light up so I guess it is kind of a pointless operation. Hope this helps!

Make sure it's enabled for all apps. By default mine was only set for messaging app. Once I enabled for all apps it works as it should.

Hello. I've got solution for edge notifications. Using this app, you can enable edge notification for any app installed and even select color of edge notification. It uses native samsung notifications, so it works even with AOD.
