Android Central Question

I have an Android phone that I have had for a while. So does my son. I was receiving texts fine from him until about 32 texts ago. Now, every time he sends me a text I get a notification of it, but it doesn't show up in messages under his name. The annoying part is I can't delete it! I'm continually being notified of it. It even attaches to other text notifications. The only way it's deleted is when my son sends a new text. Now I have accumulated 32 ghost texts from him thst I don't know where they are and I can't delete. Has anyone ever had this happen?

Welcome to Android Central! If there aren't any important texts saved to the phone, try going to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and select the Messaging app. Tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. If that doesn't help, then do the same for the Messaging Storage app.
