Has Anyone Had The No SIM Issue In The Past Month??

The Best thing to do....... Just go get a new Sim card from Verizon... They are free to replace... I had this issue once already with my DNA and about 3 times with my old Rezound.... Replacing the sim always worked for me.

I had the SIM issue on a new SIM after having the old SIM card with SIM issue replaced.

You do realize that with such a comment, you are now destined to have the sim problem.

Your probably right. I just knock on some wood and threw salt over my shoulder just in case.

Yes, I have been having that issue since I got the phone in November. Originally, it was very sporadic, but at the end of February,it started getting progressively worse...to the point it was happening 4-5 times a day. I began taking a screen shot of the screen each time it happened. (I tried all of the tips offered on the other thread in this forum: reseating the card, cleaning the card, blowing out the slot with compressed air, changing some of the phone settings, etc. The screen shots were good evidence of the issue, and Verizon finally sent me a new SIM last Wednesday. I installed it, but still was experiencing "No SIM" (usually only once or twice a day). I called Verizon support again, and they said I needed a software update, but when I checked the phone, it said the software was already up to date. Over the weekend I called again, and the Tier 2 support rep told me there was an issue with the SIM card tray, and they will replace the device. Hoping that fixes the issue...

What was a one time event has now become so common that I fear I am missing calls now. I am going to have to call support tomorrow.

Everybody, I have had my dna since Christmas, I never experienced the no sim issue until about 2 months later when I got my new case. This weekend it has almost been non stop almost 6 times a day. It seemed to happen whenever my phone would jostle around like when I put it in my pocket. I took off my case yesterday and haven't experienced it since. I like the phone a lot better without the case anyway and haven't dropped the phone since I bought it so I think I will just take my chances. Just something to think about or try, you can do it in one of those mental hospital padded rooms if you would like to be extra careful . I have the Ballistic LS case. Worth a shot I would say. Hope this helps.

Update:
The replacement phone seems to have fixed the problem. Not one "NO SIM" or "PUK UNLOCK" error with the replacement phone (which is a CLNR, not a "new" one).

Its a shame the Verizon wont step up to the plate and just swap the defective models out with the new "fixed" version of the DNA. I had management kicking and screaming when I told them I wanted out and a Note 2 instead. HOWEVER being persistent works.Im just sayen! ;)

Where's your proof that there even is a new fixed version?

Got the PUK error for the first time yesterday. I'm very familiar with the SIM card error but not the PUK. I called warranty service and they said there is a software update for the DNA set to roll out in mid April that will handle the SIM/PUK errors.

I'm thinking it will still have to go through verizon but to me that's still good news. I'm not sure if the update will specifically focus on the SIM errors or if they are making other tweaks as well. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I saw it yesterday, I have only seen it 2x since Nov... and I was somewhat surprised since i haven't been plagued with this issue as others have. I had numerous networking issues but had hesitated sending phone back in since i may get a refurb that I'd then start seeing this issue but now, I might to see if another phone may 'fix' the wifi problems i'm having.

I was getting the issue every hour or so. I reseated it, and the problem persisted. I tried rubbing alcohol and the problem went away for a month or so, and then started happening again. I've reseated and its not happening, but I think I'll try the scotch tape thing if it happens again.

So is it confirmed that the software update this month will fix the SIM/PUK issue?

Happened 4 times to me today after a month with no issue. I noticed today that if I use my mobile hotspot and turn it off I get the no SIM error 10 minutes later. I can reproduce this but the time varies. Must be an undocumented feature. :(

I'll try the scotch tape trick tonight but the hotspot issue seems to point to software.

Who knows
