Has anyone hooked their phone up to the TV to play games?

With all the high end games coming out lately, I was thinking about investing into the cable that allows me to hook up my phone to my TV. I have a couple of questions though...

Does the TV have to meet DLNA requirements?
Where do you get the cable and what exactly is the cable called?
At what resolution will the games be displayed on the TV?
Will the entire phone be mirrored on the TV or will content only display on the TV when certain programs are launched (Gallery, YouTube, Games)?

Its way too cumbersome to play game on TV with a mhl cable attache to it. The mhl/usb port will probably wear out with all the panning and tilting.
