Has anyone received EL30 OTA Update

Received it in VA. I'm rooted with ACSRecovery5-1.0.0.0-epic4g.tar. The screen is showing a white triangle with a red exclamation mark in the middle. A little blue robot is below the triangle. I'm guessing the OTA failed? I should pull the battery and reboot??

Yes a battery pull and reboot should get you back up and going.

You will need to Odin back to Froyo EC05 then update to EI22 to receive the update.

Otherwise just give it a few days and most of the current ROMs should be updated to EL30 and you can just flash over to that.

I installed the update on my Sprint Samsung GalaxyS Epic 4G this morning. Now I get the process error ("com.android.phone" has stopped...) everytime I receive a call. Any body else with this problem? Any suggestions?

Got the dl last night; can't update cause I have the non-rooted GPS_fix.zip. I think I'll wait to see what toadlife does with Clean GB & EL30. Would be nice to get good GPS w/o keyboard skipping!

Has anyone in Texas received the update. Me, my friend and his wife have the Epic and none of us have received the notification were in the RGV btw.

I updated my wife's epic 4G this morning and her phone has ran smooth as silk all day, no issues.

Noticed mine about 5am. Let it update around 8:30am, have the vmail incoming call issue, so going to factory reset momentarily

When I got to Settings, Privacy, Factory data reset, it's saying that it will erase even my SDcard, which, of course I do not want to do.

Is there a way around this? Can I just remove my SD card and then do the reset? or must the card be present?

Any help, thoughts greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

P.S. I'm at work so I can't backup my sdcard at the moment.

I would pull your SDCARD to be safe, or if it must have one in there to complete the process make a backup on your computer of the card or use a spare SDCARD if you have one.

Thanks so much, Paul. Following your tips, I made a back up of the main SD card, pulled it out, replaced it with a spare, and am going to do the Reset from the Setting menu now.

Thanks, again!

I recieved my update on Monday. Everything seems to be OK. Tested the GPS last night. Hooked up to satellites in seconds and worked fine for a 20 min drive. It did take me by suprise when I recieved my first incoming call. New screen had me confused for a bit.
