Has anyone rooted a galaxy note 5 Verizon SM.N920V

I really need to root my note 5 . So tired of wasteful apps . And not being in control of my phone ,which is not cheap. To much bull **** in this note 5 .

Package Disabler Pro from play store allows you to disable most apps without root.

For regular users like myself rooting is probably a bridge too far. Particularly as Verizon Notes are notoriously hostile to root.

However, I would love an ad blocker. And not the crap they are currently pedaling for Android. Just atrocious.

Pretty much everything else I can obtain a substitute for.

Once you root many apps won't work like bank apps. Samsung pay? I don't know about that one. Some apps even die if you sideload any apps.

You can't root the Verizon Note 5 though. The T-Mobile version can be rooted.

I think the days of being able to root T-Mobile phones is coming to an end as well. The T-Mobile S7 Edge can't be rooted and I think the Note 6 will be the same way.

Rumor is there never will be a reliable root for Verizon.

This site says it's too root the SM-N920V. Which would be the Verizon version of the Note5.

But so far is the only place I've found that indicates a successful root. I'm gonna wait until I see more comments

I just turn all that crap off. U can change apps being able to do ad pop-ups. I get nothing from any of Verizon's junk. No need to root.
