Has anyone successfully extended the charging cable?

I had used a USB extension cable on my Samsung Tab to extend the length of the charging cable. When I tried the same thing with my Infinity, it didn't work. I then tried one of those fancy "powered" extra long USB extension cables and it didn't work either.

Has anyone gotten an extension to work? If so, can you post a link to it?

(I thought of using a regular extension cord too, but I thought I would try USB first since it worked before)

I have with a 6 foot cable. It works but charges slower on my galaxy note.

I recently bought the Logitech C615 HD webcam and it came with a USB extender cable. when I just tried it out to see if it would work, it sort-of-kinda did! When plugged into the dock charging port, it started charging the tablet but not the dock.

I noticed when I have my keyboard plugged into my tab it still says charging without the usb cable plugged in. I have just determined that the keyboard charges the tab and that is how the tab sees it.

Arg I just tried one of my usb extension cables and it does not charge, I am not sure if they are usb 3.0 though. I wonder if having a 3.0 cable makes any difference?

That's kinda the point of the keyboard dock (to charge the tablet). Even if the dock isn't plugged in it will charge your tablet acting as a power bank

I ended up finding this company as I searched and checked out the recommendations on this thread. I didn't want to wait weeks and this one cost $10.99 shipped. I wanted to check back and let you all know this works fine:

I am going to order this and see if it works. That one from Caseen just looks like a 3.0 usb cable extender. Looks similair to the one in monoprice.

For the record, this cable stopped working yesterday. It won't charge the tablet. I am just going to go the other route and use an electrical extension cord on the power end. Works.

I have got my tab to charge on 12 feet of usb 3.0 extension cable. I currently have it charging on a 6ft extension, as I just started doing this I don't know if it will have a impact on charge times.
