I have been playing with my phone and wanted to make it a little smoother. I have flashed several kernals so that be contributing to a little lagginess. Anyway post number #7443 in this thread

gives a link to a kernal cleaner. I wan to try it but I want to make sure I dont do anything to brick my phone. would this be the appropriae steps from TWRP:

1)wipe cache, dalvik and system
2)kernal cleaner
3)install new kernal
4)repeat step 1

I'm not familiar with that tool, but Ktoonz knows a thing or two about kernels. If it comes from him, I would tend to trust the app. It looks like quite a few people on that thread have run it. Did anyone report any issues? That app is for Sprint only, it appears, but since your in this forum I assume you have a Sprint phone.

There's no reason to use a kernel cleaner. Do the proper wipes and you should never need one. Wipe DATA (you seem to have forgotten this), cache, dalvik and system and you will be golden.
Just another silly extra step for the paranoid. Kind of like the people who wipe everything 3 times. Not needed on these phones and is just plain silly.

Does it hurt anything? Probably not. Does it help any? Again, probably not.
