Has Doze increased your battery life?

I want to know how much of a difference Doze makes and if it considerably increases standby times.
Thanks :)

It has for me but my phone does spend a lot of time idle whilst I'm at work. There's a huge difference

Normal usage end of day work my phone was at 30% and would need to be charged to make it to bed time. Now at the end of work in roughly 70% and doesn't even hit power saver mode by bed time.

I'm impressed!

That is brilliant. Can't wait until 6.0 hits my Moto G. It would be great if you could easily and manually turn on Doze if you can't take the phone out of your pocket (ie you have it at school). :/

With android 6, my N5's battery only drops 5% overnight vs 20% drop on android 5.1.1. Overall it's a pretty good improvement and I only need to charge once a day since the upgrade.

More like revolutionized my battery life (Nexus 6). Usual routine is to charge up 100% before going to bed around 11PM-Midnight. Wakeup around 7am and then work for 8 hours. On Lollipop I'd wake up with ~92-94%, be around 85% by the time I got to work and I'd leave work at 4PM with around 15% left. By the time I got home around 4:45-5:00 I'd desperately need a charge.

Today I woke up with 98%, at lunch time I was sitting at 81% and now I'm at 78%. Might actually make it until 11PM on one charge!

Not sure how this is all that useful. My Note 4 still on KitKat only loses 3% battery over a ten hour period of non-use (ex. overnight) even with its cell radios left on (strong Verizon signal). Going back even further my OG Note 10.1 on Jelly Bean sips battery when not being used for long periods of time too (ex. left unused for a month with single digit drain). Think it all has more to do with the efficiency of the hardware, the apps you have installed and how you have them configured. So Doze sounds like it may be more useful for those who may not know how to manage their device in a way to minimize battery drain or just want the OS to do it for them.

No Doze isn't for people that don't know how to manage their devices.

You can't compare Marshmallow to KitKat, they are very different things. Doze greatly increases my battery on my Note 5. Doze just puts your phone to sleep basically, under certain conditions.

Yet, my devices using older OS's still flat line in battery use when they're asleep (ex. not being used) for extended periods. So how would Doze make that any better (is my point)?

It would increase your idle time and you won't stay flatline as long as your phone is in idle. Your phone being on, uses battery.

It may not for your situation since as you said you have it setup nicely but you also have great signal. A lot of people don't always have the perfect conditions, such as cell siganl (probably the biggest one is cell signal), which you said you have an excellent one. I personally do not have a perfect signal everywhere and therefore Doze will help to minimize battery usage.

Doze works great on both my N5 and N6...It's basically an automatic "Battery Saver". You don't get extra hours...If you let it lie dormant it adds days...and days...
