has facebook and X blur changed?

i know when the X came out the motoblur was taking all the facebook contacts and adding them to the contact list. have updates to the X and/or the facebook app changed how that works or will i still end up with hundreds of contact listings for people i never talk to? no i don't have facebook on my phone yet and this is one of the reasons why.

I'm curious about that as well. I took facebook off my X months ago and have been using the touch.facebook.com site pretty much exclusively. If the behavior has been "fixed" to not add all of your facebook contacts I'd love to install it again.

I have FB installed and none of my contacts are coming over. The only thing that happens is my contact pictures sync.

BEWARE OF YAHOO!: The Yahoo! Mail app has a contacts sync, and from the Yahoo! Mail website you can sync Facebook with Yahoo! Mail, and when the combination is right you get every Facebook friend you have, in your phone contacts. Very annoying.

The contact sync is mostly an issue when you add facebook into your accounts on your DX. If you just use the FB app this can easily be turned off in the app settings. You can also set the app to only update friends that are already in your contacts.

Maybe a stupid question, but where is the setting for syncing friends with contacts on the FB app? I couldn't find it in the settings so I synced my FB contacts through the "my accounts" thing.

+1...not seeing how to do this. I miss have profile pics for the contacts already on my phone.
