Hate the New update 7.0 on the S7 Edge

OK, then use Odin and go back to MM. Check on xda-developers website for directions.
I also don't feel like Nougat is an improvement over MM in any way that I personally use my phone. But I won't go back, either. I think it's important to keep up with the security updates, and you can't do that if you're down level.

Well, you can't have it both ways. If you really hate the phone, then trade it in.:p

Re: Hate the New update 7.0

Hi I'm new here. I too have a 7 edge. Loved it until this latest update. While I can't comment on the iPhone analogy I can say I detest the new layout. I think the iPhone analogy might detract from what's happened. I do not like the way the settings look and feel. I hate what its done to my favourite contacts. I hate the world clock and alarm thing. While I doubt I'd ever go back to my iPhone I can say that I would not have purchased the 7edge if this is how it looked and felt at my time of purchase.

Where did I say I hate the phone? I love my S7E. I just don't like Nougat compared to MM, which is what this thread is about. I also know I can't have it both ways, and have chosen my path. But that does not mean I have to like the Nougat interface.

I have three S7 Edge, two are T-Mobile versions and one is the US unlocked version.

I held off upgrading the unlocked version up until about a month ago because I wanted to have a phone still on MM. I finally gave in and updated it to Nougat and really haven't regretted it. I don't really miss anything that MM did differently and I like that I can now clear app badge counts simply by long pressing on the app and then tapping clear badge count. The biggest change though is how the settings are now organized in the settings app. I end up searching for settings now where I used to know where the setting was in MM.

Anyways, two of my thress S7 Edge phones are now sitting in a drawer. I have two of my three T-Mobile sims in a S7 Edge and a S8+ and the third is in an iPhone.

Me too. Nougat is nothing like an iPhone.

Be careful, we are not talking of a Stock android UI phone, Samsung has his own Design if you think that Samsung Design UI is bad (which is true) just buy a Google Pixel 2 or Motorola.

I stand by my statement. I've owned a Nexus 5X and a couple of Moto phones and I am using an unlocked S8 at the moment. I don't especially care for Samsung's embellishments but to say it's "like an iPhone" is just plain wrong.
