Have a Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush?? Try this with your pixel 2!

If I brush my teeth near my Pixel 2, Now Playing picks up the noise of my Sonicare toothbrush as "The chauffeur" by Deftones LOL. I find it rather comical/amusing.

Has anyone else found false song IDs with normal environmental sounds??

Are you humming while you're brushing? I just let my Sonicare buzz for quite a while next to my 2XL, nothing.

No humming on my part haha

If I leave it just buzzing on its own next to my phone it doesn't pick up anything either.

If I push my finger on the moving part of the brush at different pressures and lengths (simulating the brush moving around in my mouth) I can get it to trigger almost every time.

Pushing on the moving part makes different pitches/ frequencies that seem to trigger it.

LOL! I watched the video, then looked down at my 2XL, and sure enough, The Chauffeur, by the Deftones!

I can't get it to do it with my Sonicare, it's a different model from yours, yours has a lower pitch...

Well first I listened to a bit of the Deftones video of The Chauffer and my phone picked it right up. Then I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth for a few minutes with my Sonicare tooth brush (the exact same one that is in the photo) and got nothing. Sorry. The Deftones don't hold a candle to Duran Duran. But my Pixel is a 2 XL so maybe that is why it didn't work.

Then I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth for a few minutes with my Sonicare tooth brush (the exact same one that is in the photo) and got nothing. Sorry. The Deftones don't hold a candle to Duran Duran. But my Pixel is a 2 XL so maybe that is why it didn't work.

And neither hold a candle to Pink Floyd, but we'd better not start down that road... We'll have everyone voting for their favorite band in a minute...

I am not comparing the Deftones to Duran Duran, I am comparing their versions of The Chauffer. Simon Le Bon wrote the song and does a much better job singing it.

Because my smart phone saved my life so I take it everywhere. I got a severe headache four years ago and finally called 911. I then passed out and because of the GPS in the phone they were able to find me and take me to the hospital. I woke up the next day and they were drilling holes in my head to relieve the pressure. Two operations on my brain and I was fine. I am 69 years old and live alone. I gotta have my phone with me.

Personally my phone plays music for me when I get ready in the morning, used to use a laptop for that.

I always have my phone with me so yes it goes into the bathroom to, just making a light-hearted joke there.
Luckily the regular pixel 2 fits comfortably in my pocket and I don't have to worry about leaving it behind accidentally
