Have had Nexus5 for a week now, thinking about selling and getting a G2... Am I mad ?

That's what I think, too. Bigger screen and battery, more storage, (carrier bought) etc. Might not have the newest software, but, that's not really needed. I would like an update in the future for the TRIM feature in 4.3, but if needed, I'll root and rom.
Precisely.

I was looking at tablets tonight at Best Buy and was again checking out the LGG2

Every time i look at it i like it more and more. the knock feature seemed a bit...well lame. lol 15 minutes of reviewing it again and i must have turned it on and off 50 times. There is a lot to like about the G2 in my opinion

I agree, too bad LG is doing a lot of marketing in Europe but seems to throw the towel in USA, I don't know if it is some sort of under the table deal but I still can't understand why would people pay $150 for Galaxy S4 under contract instead of getting G2 unlocker or for $50 under contract during this holiday season, it is an amazing device, and I am totally spoiled by knock on/off feature.
I have slight stuttering (micro-lag) when scrolling up and down, but I am beginning to see past that and hope that new release of Android will soon fix that

There is something holding this phone back, and I can't quite put my finger on it, otherwise arguably the best phone in the market at this moment.

Some don't like/can't get used to the button arrangement.

Maybe it is a personal thing but I rarely find myself using buttons anyway. To turn on and off we don't need button and how often do people adjust the volume?

I did the same. Had the N5 since day one and I pulled the trigger and got a G2 free on contract in white. It'll be here one Tues.

The buttons are really a non issue. They look clean on the back, are easy to work, and more importantly they do not have to get used much at all..knock, knock is a great reason why. Should you be on a call and need to adjust the volume the buttons are in the right place to do so...I think the button location is certainly different but clever....

Att had it until 12am. Verizon will be doing one on cyber Monday. I know this, because I work for Verizon. The free one is white though. No black

Ahh, I see, I was about to call them since I just got mine last week.

Thanks and enjoy the G2, I find myself knocking it on just for the heck of it, addicted, and I love the notification LED, helps with Blackberry withdrawal symptoms.

I wish power button hung up the phone and volume rocker skipped songs.

If the volume rocker skipped songs you'd have to dig into settings to control the volume...or do you have something else in mind?

That's not what I meant. I guess you never used a Blackberry. :) Pressing and holding always skipped to next song, and pressing and holding down (volume down) rewound the song to beginning and another press went to previous song.

Well, this did not work with Android player, or the LG stock player.
However, I had a revelation today, I could use my Blackberry headphones, it is a single button headphone, and I can use it in a call as microphone and one press pauses, and double press skips to next song. I hear three presses should go back to previous song, but it did not work. I understand we need an app for that.
