hi,
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have an HTC Sensation XE with unlocked bootloader which i have been flashing different roms to using fastboot flash in Linux Ubuntu.

it worked for a while, then it just started saying 'failed <remote not allowed>' when i try to use fastboot to do anything.

I dont have a working android on it, so i need to flash something to it.

Is there any fix or is it bricked?

any help is appreciated,
Eric.

Assuming that the bootloader is unlocked, try holding the power switch in until the phone vibrates, when it's in the bootloader (it could take as long as a minute). If that doesn't work, and you tried to flash something again and it still doesn't work, I'd say some eMMC storage on the motherboard went - and it doesn't pay to repair the phone. (It would need a new motherboard, and you can buy working phones for less.)
