Have Jelly Bean - but still "old" camera/gallery.

Hi have a stock Galaxy S3 on 3 UK. I updated to Jelly Bean a couple of months ago and today to the 4.2.1 release. However I have noticed that the camera version is still 1.5 and the gallery application is also very old. I also do not have the Google equivalent of "Swype" as a keyboard option. Any idea what's going on or what I need to do to get the "latest" applications? Obviously I could root, but have always been reluctant to do that "just in case".

thanks
Mark

Odp: Have Jelly Bean - but still "old" camera/gallery.

Because this is samsung software and they remove google stock software and replace it with those. So samsung is the one that needs to update there things

Makes perfect sense - thanks for advising. Look's like I will have to root then!
