I have been using a Motorola Xoom for about 18 months and have weathered the Honeycomb to Jellybean upgrade. I participated in a work pilot of Good Technologies and was the only Android tablet user in the pilot. Having secure access to work e-mail and files really changed my reliance on the laptop. I can do a lot of work on the tablet and break out my laptop for heavy lifting.
The apps I use most besides Good for Enterprise and the standard Google apps are Astro File Manager, Office Suite Pro, LinkedIn, Facebook, and a fitness app---right now I'm wavering between My Fitness Pal and Lose It! I also use the camera and the gallery---often to take pictures of wine labels so I can remember the best and worst vineyards.
I'm the in-house champion for our Mobile User Group which meets about once a month at lunchtime. We have done some introductory presentations of mobile app development tools and talked about data plans, etc. There are about 25 IT types who participate. Most of our speakers are representatives of our consulting partners and connections from vendors. The group is "self inflicted."
I'm glad to find like minded people. I'm not a developer/coder although I've worked in IT for a number of years. I'm a power user with enough knowledge to be dangerous.
