Have You Gotten KitKat 4.4? Thread

Just got it. Didn't know the notification bar and the bar at the bottom would still be black and not transparent.. And no Google now on the right most screen. I probably should read through this thread first but...what gives?

You must download the Google experience launcher. Or use nova launcher beta to get transparent bars.

Which do you prefer? I downloaded the nova beta since I currently use it already and noticed the transparent bars aren't really all that clear..they still fade to a black

Download this my friend. 4.4 didn't come with the Google experience launcher so we have to download the apk to get this:

If you flush the Framework cache you should see it. I did on mine, so then I wiped my phone and it DL'd along with the app updates for 4.3.

Going pretty solidly he#7$&???

Have 4 Nexus devices in the house (2xN4, 2xN7[SUP]('12)[/SUP]) -- not ONE has gotten the OTA yet.

When are people gonna realise that OTA updates doesn't depend on location?

Haven't got mine as well. Does it need a SIM card to be able to update OTA? Mine is now on WiFi only, could that be the reason it didn't update yet?

Did you force close it before flushing the cache or just flush the cache? TIA

I received the OTA on my Nexus 4 this past Friday night.

I bought a new Nexus 7 (2013) Thursday from Best Buy & received the OTA that night. Got home from Best Buy, turned it on, system update for 4.3, ran update, and it restarted. The device was acting funny after the restart, so I did a reset, turn device back on, system update 4.4, ran update, and after restart all was well.
